  • Lionel Tollemache, 5th Earl of Dysart received no settlement from his father at his majority, and, feeling he owed him nothing, married without his knowledge or consent to Charlotte, daughter of Edward Walpole on 2 October 1760.
Charlotte died at Ham House, Ham, south of Richmond in London on 5 September 1789. Dysart remarried, on 19 April 1791, to Magdalene Lewis, of Allesley, co. Warwick, sister of his brother Wilbraham's wife.
Lionel died at Ham House in 1799 and was succeeded by his younger brother Wilbraham Tollemache, 6th Earl of Dysart, a British politician.
Wilbraham carried out a program of improvements at Ham House.
One of the other family residences of the Tollemache family since from as early as 1727 is Helmingham Hall, near Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Joseph died two years after Lionel, writing his will on August 20, 1800; so probably worked for both brothers in his time at Ham House.
