• There is no record of a baptism for Mary - but she's listed as the sole executrix in the will of her Father William, dated 7th November 1810.
  William died in 1817 but Mary didn't prove the will until 28th July 1840, when she's listed as "Mary Davis Wife of William Davis formerly Mary Rippington Spinster".
  A William Davis was also one of the witnesses for William Rippington's will in 1810.
  Sadly Mary didn't benefit from this will as she died a few days later and was buried in St. Nicholas, Forest Hill on August 4, 1840.
  Harriett (Rippington) was born in 1805 in Wheatley (the same village as Mary was living in until at least 1810) and is shown as the 'baseborn' daughter of Mary Rippington & William Holiday on her baptism record.
  At Harriett's marriage to George Gibson on October 9, 1828 the witnesses are Maria Rippington & William Davies - not exactly the same as above, but close enough to consider that these are more-than-likely the same people ... as there's not a Maria Rippington known in this area and Davis / Davies have always been listed interchangeably in the local parish records.
  So it would seem that Mary married William Davis sometime between 1828 and 1840.
